2 year olds make me work!  I had such a nice afternoon with the "e" family today and Bradley couldn't have been more fun!  This adorable little guy is going to be 2 next week and boy does he like to run.  I think we spent a good part of the afternoon running with a little bit of peek-a-boo and a lot of jumping......and there may or may not have been goldfish crackers involved!  Candace and Danny, it was so nice to meet you today. Finally.....a newborn that slept for our session :) .... kind of.  Everyone knows how much newborns sleep...especially in their early days.  Photographing newborns in their first two weeks of life typically results in sleepy pictures.  So peaceful, so positionable and so sweet.  Almost all of the newborns I have photographed have been wide awake! Well, Saturday was my lucky day, when baby Eloise slept for most of our session.  She's such a sweet little thing and it was an absolute pleasure being able to capture these early days of Eloise's life.  Angela and Ben, I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!  I'll be in touch soon with your completed proofs.

My day with DrewB!  Drew is a fabulous photographer in Orange County whose blog I started following a couple of years ago. When I heard that she was offering mentoring sessions, I knew at some point I needed a "Day with Drew."  This was the year.....and I was fortunate enough to spend the day with Drew, learning and getting inspired.  We spent the day talking about my photography business and she was gracious enough to share all that she knows from the business side to the technical side of shooting and editing.  I can't even begin to tell you how invaluable this experience was.  My head is spinning with photography fabulousness.....Drew totally rocks!  She's such a sweet person and I'm so excited to have spent the day with her.

Now on to our family session.  Part of my day with Drew was to photograph this beautiful family.  We spent the afternoon with Aaron, Julez, Naomi and Zoey.  What a fun loving family.  We had a blast! Naomi is 4.5 and Zoey is 2.....and baby number 3 is on the way.

2009 was a fabulous year and I want to thank my fantastic clients for making it such.  I had so much fun meeting so many new families.  Thank you for giving me the opportunity to capture your babies, children and families and I hope to have the opportunity to see you all again in the future.  Many wishes for a wonderful 2010!

Oh, how time flies.....I was lucky to have my 3rd session with Sofia this weekend.  We met up just a few weeks shy of her 6 month birthday so we could capture winter pictures for their holiday cards.  This little girl just gets cuter and cuter every time I see her.  She has two teeth, blonde curly hair and baby blue eyes.......oh and a smile that will just make you melt.  Amy and Steve here's your sneak peek from our session.

Today was another fabulous day at my favorite park in Pleasanton with another sweet family!  I met up with the "Z" family for their family portraits and had a blast.  Jackson and Wyatt are twins....just a little over 2 years old.  We did lots of exploring today, walked the bridge, visited the barn where they were looking for "hows" (cows).  Unfortunately we didn't see any cows but they had fun playing with sticks and jumping off of tree stumps.  These kiddos were super cute and as per usual.....had Blue, Blue eyes!  Amy and Mike, here are a few of my favorites from our session.  I'll be in touch soon with your full album.  Hope you enjoy the images :)

I know I've said it before and I'll say it again.....I LOVE photographing clients year after year.  You might remember this family from last year.  Evan is days away from 3 years old....and let me tell you that he made me work!  Even though he wasn't up for pictures when they first arrived at the park, I quickly got him to change his mind.  He was a ham by the end of the session.  We had a fun morning together and I think we got some great images.  Andrea and Jeff.....here are a few of my favorites from our session.  I'll have your album soon!

Not the typical family I photograph, but I LOVE it just the same!  This was a new one for me...photographing someone else's dog on location, outside of their comfort zone and Max did great!  He's an 8 month old Boxer with tons of energy and while he was ready to explore the park we were at, we needed to keep him close by.....because afterall we were photographing him!  Of course, Christina and Andy were quite easy to photograph too.  Have you ever seen a more photogenic couple?  I've had the pleasure of shooting their engagement photos as well as some of their wedding photos (as a guest) and they never disappoint!  Christina and Andy here are a few of my favorites from our session....

Yesterday was a fun day!  We spent the day in Santa Rosa with Brett's cousins.  One of which is the super cute, Ireland Christine.  This little baby is so stinkin cute, I just wanted to squeeze her cheeks all day long.  She was a blast to photograph.  So much personality, especially once you put her in Pink.  Seriously, this baby was a different baby once we took her out of her red outfit and put her in the pink one.  Laughing, smiling, giggling, and rolling all over the place.  We had a lot of fun and even managed to get in a few family pictures.  We ventured off to Paradise Ridge Winery to have their first family picture taken.  Paradise Ridge is where Mike and Jessica were married, so it holds a very special place in their hearts.  Mike and Jess.....here's a sneak peek for you!  I'll have your full album for you soon....

My most photographed family :)  The "R" family has been such a fun family to photograph over the last few years and I have really enjoyed watching Peyton and Riley grow.  With their red hair and blue, blue eyes, you can't help but love capturing them on camera.  I have an even harder time putting their pictures in black and white :).  These kiddos have such personality and truly are the center of mom and dad's world. We spent this past Sunday taking their annual family photographs at this great new location I came across in Pleasanton.  I think I have a new favorite picture location!!! I love having repeat clients because it gives me the opportunity to see how much the kids have grown.  I had the pleasure of photographing twins, Will and Emily at just a week old.  They were so teeny, tiny and super cute.  Look how much they have grown, along with big sister Sarah!  All three are adorable and were so fun to photograph at the park.  I think they all have a thing for the swings.....you couldn't wipe the smiles off their face.  Maia and Paul, here are a few of my favorites from our session.  I'll have your full album for you soon!

When Kim emailed me a few weeks ago about her family portraits, I was so excited!  Kim and I worked together about 12 years ago for Invasion tours.  She was based in Texas and I was in Southern California.  While we really only saw each other on Ski trips and Grad trips, we always had a great time!  We recently reconnected via Facebook and I learned that she lived in Northern California.....just a few hours from me.  She's now married and has two adorable boys, Patrick and Quinn.  We met up along the American River in Folsom and did some exploring along the rivers edge.  We also found a really cool, wood walking bridge.  Kim, I had a great time meeting your family and so much fun capturing your time together.  Here's a sneak peek for you!!  I hope you enjoy the images.  :)

Meet the W family......The family with 3 kids that have the most beautiful blue eyes.  How is it that all of my clients have amazing eyes!!  We spent some time together this past weekend taking their family holiday portraits at one of my favorite parks in Livermore.  It turned out to be a super windy day but I still think we pulled off some great shots.  This family was so sweet and their kiddos were adorable.  Everett and Gretta are twins and were quite the explorers, while big sister Collette just loved being in front of the camera.  Micki....Here's your sneak peek from our session.  I hope you enjoy these images and I'll have your online album for you soon!!

Session 2 of 4 of my So Cal day.  Meet the "D" family.  Another long time friendship that goes back to 10th grade.  I've been photographing this family over the last several years and one of the best parts of this job is getting to watch the families grow.  Not only have the kids gotten older, but they have added two more to the mix since I had my very first session with them.  This was a fun session and while I was a little nervous about getting 6 people to look at me at the same time so we could get at least 1 family picture, the day turned out great.  Jody and Christian, here's your sneak peek!  Hope you enjoy them :)

This is session #1 from my day in So Cal.  It was a pleasure starting out my day with this family of 3.  Stacy is one of my oldest friends......I think we go back to 6th grade.  I had such a great time capturing their fun family.  CJ is now just over a year and cuter than ever.  He's got such a fun personality.  I just wish I could see them more often......I feel like I just took his newborn pictures and now he's 13 months.  Time goes by just too fast.  Stacy and Peter here is your sneak peek.  I hope you enjoy the images and I'll have your full album done soon.  :)

Party of 9!  Two sets of parents, a 7 year old, 4.5 year old, 3 year old and 2 year old twins.  I was definitely up for the challange.  What a fun double family session this was.  The "T" family lives here locally and her brother and family, the "E" family, were visiting from New Jersey......what a perfect time for a family session.  I had such a great time hanging out with these families......just makes me love what I do more and more each day.  Jen, Matt, Tim and Jen......here's your sneak peek!  Hope you enjoy these images as much as I do :)

This past Saturday I had a really fun session with the "M" family!  We met up in Los Gatos so I could spend some time capturing them as a family. Ben is 4 1/2 and Kayla is 2.  We had a such a good time together running around, playing ball, blowing bubbles and even watching a squirrel toss acorns at us from a tree.  Stephanie and Hector, thank you for allowing me to spend time with your family!  I hope you enjoy your sneak peak!!
